BBC Sunday Service

 1 September 2020 |

I know a number of us listen to Radio 4 Sunday morning service so I expect you heard the service on Sunday 30 at which a young person read the parable of the great and well regarded invited to the Lord’s party. As we all know they all declined the invitation and ultimately that invitation was issued instead to all the disadvantaged the waifs and the strays.

After the reading a young woman of 17 who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy spoke by means of her specially activated computer. She said as a result of a birth injury she was severely disabled. She had no regrets and said she does not believe God has a plan B for her. The way she is now is plan A and she celebrates that. She knows God loves cherishes and uses her just as much as any other person. Her own words were more powerful. Challenging chastening and inspiring.

The world is full of exceptional people but not necessarily in ways we expect.
