Christmas at Broome Hall Farm 1952/1953

 1 March 2021 |

I remember this Christmas very clearly, my father woke me up to tell me that help was needed in getting the sheep into the Dutch Barn as snow was forecast.

As a newly appointed Organist I wasn’t over pleased at this prospect, Coldharbour Church is one mile up hill ,but I made it on my trusty bike in time!

After getting home, father said he had something to show us in the barn, what a surprise my sister Jill and I had , for there we found a pair of new born lambs all snug in amongst the bales of straw. We named them Holly and Ivy.
