Prayer Corner

 1 August 2021 |

This past week, the Methodist Church have voted to allow local churches and ministers to at last marry same-sex couples – in our prayers we remember the many gay people who have waited patiently for the church to start catching up with the changes in our society; we also remember all those who find this week’s decision uncomfortable and unsettling.

In our prayers we remember the General Assembly of the URC, all those preparing for the debates and decision making, for the new body of individuals looking again at the direction the Church might choose to go. We remember those in Churches Together in East Grinstead and in Redhill, and those churches from our own denomination that make up our cluster group.

Please join me, on Monday mornings, for a time of reflection and prayer on Zoom.
